Collaborative Science Environment

Research instruments for gravitational biology.

We design and build laboratory equipment for simulated microgravity and time-lapse plant science, from a workshop in Madison, Wisconsin. Every part, board and line of software is our own.

Who we work with

University and government labs, on three continents

Our clinostats run in university and government laboratories across the United States and at space-research institutes in India, with further deliveries under way. They are used for cell and tissue culture, plant gravitropism, small-organism models and ground controls for spaceflight experiments.

Collaborative Science Environment Inc. is a Wisconsin benefit corporation. Our control software is open source under the GPL, customers receive the CAD for sample fixtures, and every instrument ships with the same documentation our engineers use. About the company →
